The women of Riga, famous for their fashion sense, are no longer the best dressed persons in Latvia. Latvia’s soldiers have received new, modern uniforms that are considered to be the most advanced in NATO.

Utilizing new technologies, as well a special national design, the new uniforms are both practical and distinctive. The components of the uniforms are made from the latest high tech materials, with improved camouflage features and suitability for various climate zones, ranging from -30 C to +50C.

In addition to being safe, comfortable and durable, the new uniforms will also convey a ‘Latvian look’ thanks to a special ‘pixilated’ camouflage pattern that will suggest the contours of Latvia.  Just as the women of Riga stand out in the European Union, Latvia’s armed forces – men and women alike – will be a visibly distinctive addition to NATO.
