27 Nov - Young leaders are first to discuss NATO’s policies
November 27 Riga, Latvia - Today, one day prior to the NATO Summit, over fifty Young Leaders from NATO, Partner and Contact countries are meeting to define their vision on future NATO policies.

The exhibition will showcase and illustrate the multifaceted nature of NATO’s transformation through a variety of display stands and equipment presentations. The main focus will be on NATO’s evolving capabilities and operations. Experts will provide explanations of the topics presented.
The exhibition, located opposite the Olympic Center in Arena Riga, will be accessible to media and delegates on 26-30 November and to the general public on 30 November.

Riga– for two days, during the weekend of November 25 and 26 all the residents of Latvia and guests are welcome to visit the renovated Daile theatre for a special NATO “Open House” event. This event will give those who attend a better perspective on the NATO Summit in Riga and will allow them to partake in various competitions and have a good time.

On the eve of the Meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government, November 27, the Minister of Defense of Latvia, H.E. Atis Slakteris will host events to show support for reforms and progress in Georgia and for Georgia's NATO aspirations. These events will include the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Nino Burjanadze and United States Senator Richard J. Lugar who are visiting Latvia in the days prior to NATO Riga Summit.

On 28 and 29 November NATO Heads of State and Government will meet in Riga, the capital of Latvia. It is the first Summit in one of the countries that joined the Alliance in the last enlargement round of 2004. Nothing could illustrate more clearly the breathtaking changes that have happened in Europe over the last one and a half decades.
