Latvia’s President will open NATO Summit Media Accreditation center and visit the main NATO Summit venue

The NATO Riga Summit Media Accreditation Center will start operations on November 23 and it will be officially opened by the President of Latvia Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga along with the Head of the NATO Riga Summit Latvia Task Force Edgars Rinkēvičs.
The President will hand out the very first Accreditation cards to some of the attending media representatives. Afterwards V. Vīķe-Freiberga is planning to visit the main NATO Summit venue site, Olympic Sports Center, to see how it is prepared for the Meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government. Media representatives will have an opportunity to see the Press Center in the main NATO Summit Venue together with the President and she will give her comments on the visit.
All media representatives who have applied for accreditation to NATO Riga Summit are kindly invited and are asked to arrive not later than 9:30 AM on November 23 at the Media Accreditation Center in the Sports hall of the Riga Hanza School, at Grostonas street 5, in order to clear security checks. Media representatives are also reminded to bring a valid ID with them. Those who arrive after 9:30 AM, will not have a chance to visit the main NATO Summit Venue.
Working language of the event is Latvian.
