24 Nov - NATO Riga Summit Media Handbook
The official NATO Riga Summit Media Handbook has been posted on the NATO Riga Summit website
www.rigasummit.lv . The Handbook along with plans of the Media Center and its surroundings are available in English, French and Latvian and can be found under the "Media" section or by clicking on the following link

The NATO Summit Media Accreditation Center has started operations as of November 23 and the Media Center will officially open on Sunday, November 26 at 9 AM.

24 Nov - The Minister of Defense of Latvia hosts ceremony and meetings to support Georgia on its way to NATO
On the eve of the Meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government, November 27, the Minister of Defense of Latvia, H.E. Atis Slakteris will host events to show support for reforms and progress in Georgia and for Georgia's NATO aspirations. These events will include the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Nino Burjanadze and United States Senator Richard J. Lugar who are visiting Latvia in the days prior to NATO Riga Summit.

21 Nov - Latvia’s President will open NATO Summit Media Accreditation center and visit the main NATO Summit venue
The NATO Riga Summit Media Accreditation Center will start operations on November 23 and it will be officially opened by the President of Latvia Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga along with the Head of the NATO Riga Summit Latvia Task Force Edgars Rinkēvičs.

21 Nov - NATO Summit volunteers will be easy to spot
Almost 600 NATO Summit volunteers will be wearing specially designed scarves, ties, sweaters and jackets that will distinguish them from the other NATO Summit guests. Among thousands of people it will make easier for Summit guests to find volunteers who can help them during NATO Summit days.

20 Nov - Press conference on security aspects of NATO Summit
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense and the Head of NATO Summit Latvia Task Force Edgars Rinkēvičs, and the Chief of the Security Police and the person in charge of preparations and provision of security for NATO Summit participants, General Jānis Reiniks, will give a press conference on the latest information relating to planned changes in movement and traffic during the days of the NATO Summit.

16 Nov - Prime Minister to visit NATO ships
Prime Minister of Latvia Aigars Kalvitis will visit the NATO Response Force Maritime Group’s ships the USS Monterey and HMS York in the Riga Export Terminal on Friday, November 17.
