12 Jun - A set of NATO postcards „Feeling Safe” has been released

Riga, 12 June

In preparation for the meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government in Riga this November, NATO has released a set of original postcards “Feeling Safe”. From 12 June they have been placed in cafes of Riga to promote the upcoming NATO Summit and the newly developed Riga NATO Summit Herald to Latvia and the World – www.rigasummit.lv .

19 May - Riga Welcomes the NATO Summit

On Monday, 22 May at 11:45 hrs presentation of Riga - the venue of the upcoming meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government - will be held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, attended by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Latvia Atis Slakteris and NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Shefer.

18 May - Riga NATO Summit logo was presented yesterday

The official logo for Riga Summit of NATO Heads of State and Government was presented in Riga yesterday. It was chosen among 148 works of Latvia's artists that participated in the national competition for Riga NATO Summit logo design. The final decision was made by NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer who approved the work of Latvian artist Uldis Freimanis under the slogan „Riga - the historical crossroads".

9 May - NATO Summit Latvia Press Center is open

NATO Summit Latvia Press Center has started its work today so that media representatives are able to receive all the topical information on the upcoming meeting of NATO Heads of States and Government in Riga on 28-29 November. The Press Center is located within the office of Latvia's NATO Summit Task Force in Riga and media representatives are kindly welcomed to contact the NATO Summit Latvia Press Center in the following months until NATO Summit.
